DESIGN PROCESS
A. Initial Meeting.
Meeting at your site to discuss your project goals, the schedule, conceptual cost estimate, and site review. There is no charge for this meeting.
B. Design Program.
Comprehensive list of the requirements and goals for the project. Develop an understanding of client needs and lifestyle.
C. Conceptual Design.
Exploring design concepts based on room adjacencies and building forms..
D. Design Development.
The design evolves from the conceptual drawings and.... walls, windows, doors, roofs, etc. are shown on computer generated drawings. Conceptual ideas evolve and are refined.
E. Construction Documents.
Computer drawings include all materials, dimensions, notes, etc. that show what all the materials are and where they are located in the project. The specifications manual explains in detail how the materials are to be installed.
F. Bidding & Negotiating.
Obtaining a competitive price from pre-qualified builders to build the project and writing the contract for construction.
G. Construction Administration.
Observing the work of the builders to assure quality workmanship and conformance to the contract documents. Providing answers to questions from builders, certifying invoices, negotiating changes, etc.
